Unidentified Drone Strike Kills Motorcyclist on Al-Bara - Ihsim Road in Idlib Countryside
Report:
After hearing two explosions at 1:19 PM today, Friday, August 23, the White Helmets center in the village of Ihsim, located in Jabal al-Zawiya in southern Idlib, received a report through a local WhatsApp group at 1:20 PM about the shelling of the al-Bara—Ihsem road. A search and rescue team from the White Helmets center in Ihsim immediately headed to the targeted location to inspect it.
Upon arriving at the site, approximately 2 km from the center, the team found a motorcycle completely destroyed by the shelling and flames burning next to the road in the agricultural lands. They immediately began inspecting the area and found the body of a person killed by the shelling. Upon further examination of the site, it was determined that two rockets had targeted the road, with a distance of about 1.5 meters between them. The body was found about three meters away from the location of the nearest rocket impact.
The search and rescue team at the scene requested an ambulance team from the Ihsim center to transport the body. The team arrived at the site, transported the body, and handed it over to the forensic medicine department in the city of Idlib.
After examining the site, the remains of the munitions, and the nature of the attack, it was determined that the shelling was carried out by rockets from an unidentified drone.
